I’ve been having a right mission finding some new bedlinen for Alice and still haven’t settled on one. So many patterns and colours and then there is the whole price issue. It seems I have expensive tastes!

I had a vision in my head of how I wanted her room to look and it has ended up veering away from the muted pinks, mustards and mints I had planned and become a bit more pastel. I also had a slight feeling that Alice would prefer a cute bedding set to the mustard spot one I’d spied in H&M! I’m trying to steer away from the full on character bedding but still choose something suitable for a little one. It is her room after all.

During my search I did come across lots of lovely designs for snuggling down in at night so thought I would share a few of these with you all for some weekend perusal.

H&M is currently leading the way for my final choice. They have some fantastic designs at great prices and in all the right colours for Alice’s room. The aforementioned mustard number might have to give way to this monochrome animal face duvet. Alice has requested the pink panda version unsurprisingly.

I have to say M&S has been a favourite of mine for a long time for kids bedding. The quality is always great and they have had lots of fun prints. This season the prices are so reasonable as well and at £15 for a lot of the sets you can’t really go wrong. I was tempted to buy the mint star print bedding but after popping in to store this week this flamingo print is now one of the favourites. It’s a lot paler than I thought and the flamingos are quite pared back.

I have been sorely tempted to purchase some of the Liewood bedding as they have the cutest monochrome graphic prints on a background of the lovely muted shades I’m after. Lots of fun for little ones but they aren’t too overpowering. Scandiborn stock a large range and this cat print and Panda Print are my current crushes.

I bought the girls cot bed bedding from John Lewis and actually had a version of this star and chevron one for the girls cot. I wanted something a bit more neutral and this fitted the bill. I have also been eyeing up this mermaid duvet cover for some time. They have everything from a astronaut to a jockey too.

A much cheaper option is from good old Wilko. £12 for a duvet cover set is a bargain and this pirate print is so much fun.

If you want something a little bit different then take a look at our Little’s List for some utterly gorgeous prints and patterns. The liberty print bedding from Coco & Wolf is just beautiful and you can choose from traditional floral prints or the super fun Queue for the zoo. More graphic designs can be found at This Modern Life. I particularly like this mountain and bear print and am a big fan of the Nobodinoz prints and colours.

I also love the colours of the collections at Rowen and Wren. This is exactly what I was trying to achieve and this checked duvet would be lovely layered with some more colourful blankets and cushions.

I have also been very tempted by Littles List member Belle & Boo since I discovered their super cute bedding. I’ve long adored the prints but it might have to be a purchase for Molly’s room as she would love the characters.

I know a lot of you love The White Company for bedlinen and I could kick myself as I almost bought two bedding sets from there in the January sales for a bargain £15 but was dithering over colours!! I really need to get more decisive. This cherry print bedding is so good though.

Finally Zara is firm favourite with the team for their beautiful prints and designs in the most gorgeous colour palettes. This elephant bedding is amazingly cute.

Has anyone else seen any gorgeous designs or excellent bargains I must know about? I’m always keen to find some more unusual stores I haven’t heard of. Alice’s finished room will be hitting the blog soon. Just need to find that elusive duvet cover!
