Last week I introduced you to our highly recommended photographers who feature in our directory The Littles List. If you missed the post then you can read more over on this post here.

Essentially, The Littles List is a diverse, online directory that has been specially curated by the team behind Rock My Family, bringing together a broad range of suppliers handpicked by us. There are eight categories in the directory and today we thought we’d throw the spotlight onto our Paper Pretty category. Each of these wonderful suppliers have been tried and tested to our exacting standards so that we can be 100% sure in recommending their services to you.

Let’s find out some more about them…

Rory & The Bean

Rory & The Bean is an online children’s décor store based in the foothills of the Pennines, UK.

Their mission is simple; they believe in modern design with a minimalist edge, that less really is more when it comes to children’s interiors.

Design inspiration chiefly comes from the in vogue Scandinavian climes. Rory & The Bean have developed diverse reaching collections which play on textural pieces, pattern work and visually stimulating monochrome designs.

The team consists of Andrea – the chief creative director – business strategist Simon, and their executive creative directors, Rory – the 3-year-old toddler who can be as endearingly destructive as he is creative – and an energetic and wildly imaginative 8-year-old – Noah “the Bean”.

Counterbalancing the adult’s contemporary and off-centre sensibilities, their constantly changing developmental stages, emerging personalities and mannerisms are a huge influence on the range, and they aim to project that into our future works.

Rory & The Bean’s products are not strictly limited to wall based décor – the newest additions to their collection are a spin on the incredibly popular keepsake memory cards idea, designed to help new parents document baby’s first Christmas, while gender neutral baby greeting cards compliment the large scale art range perfectly. Why not check out what they have to offer over on their profile page on The Littles List.

Small Faces

Small Faces Illustration was born born out of personal need. Watching the beauty of her growing child, Paulina felt an urge to memorise the journey of motherhood and to capture the beautiful moments that seemed to pass too quickly. Starting with her own daughter, she began to specialise in child portraits and developed a strong technique that allowed her not only to achieve likeness, but also to reflect delicacy and ingenuity of children’s emotions. Using the highest quality of paint and surface, Paulina makes sure the colours of her paintings will stay the same for a very long time bringing love and joy to every home.

Paulina also offers family illustrations and many other visual forms of celebrating relationships between people, keeping in mind that a pet can also be a family member too.

Each portrait comes in beautiful natural packaging, ready to be framed. Check out Small Faces on the The Littles List to see Paulina’s wonderful work.

Belle & Boo

The Story of Belle & Boo began with a huge amount of passion, a pencil, some paper and creator Mandy’s memories of a wonderful childhood. Founder and Illustrator Mandy Sutcliffe loves to draw children and in doing so hopes to create illustrations that inspire adventures and shape new memories for both children and adults. Their characters Belle and Boo are the best of friends. Belle is a young girl with a curiosity for the natural world and Boo is her faithful friend and confidant. Along the way new friendships have been made, such as Ellis & Easy and Ava to name a few, and they can all be found across the Belle & Boo collection.

Along with a small team of incredibly talented people, a world of innocence, magic and nostalgia has been created by Mandy; offering timeless quality gifts made for both parents and children to enjoy – many of which are handmade here at Belle & Boo HQ. If you’re looking for inspiration for your child’s bedroom or nursery, a charming gift or even a present for yourself then you needn’t look any further. From precious keepsakes and art prints to homewares, craft kits and picture books; there’s something magical for everyone to enjoy. Craftsmanship and beauty should last a lifetime, which is why they look after the details of their products. They want to make the environment that children live, laugh and play in beautiful, the plates they eat from stylish and the clothes they wear timeless. Check out Belle & Boo in both the Homewares & Interiors category as well as the Paper Pretty Category.
