The other day there was a lot of late night messaging going on between the team on the very important subject of tutus. Yes, those frilly, fluffy sparkly numbers. We are big fans.

Laura was on the look out for a (much cheaper) version of a Bon Point one that she had seen for Bertie’s Christmas party and thus ensued a lot of sharing of fabulous creations. Sadly so many were out of stock we were really struggling.

First up was this gorgeous Boden gold spot Ric Rac skirt but sadly it was out of stock in most sizes and so the quest continued.

The girls have The White Company tutus in the softest pink but they just didn’t have a the required sparkle for Christmas. This grey number does have some beading but it was glitter we were after.

I probably shouldn’t have sent Laura the link to this amazing Stella McCartney skirt, it is too cute but just a bit too spendy.

If the request hadn’t been for cream and gold then I would have been pointing out this amazing Teal Marks & Spencer tutu from the Marie Chantal collection. I think Alice would look fabulous in it. Maybe with the matching fairilse cardigan. All the heart eyes.

I was pleasantly surprised by the tutu collection at Mango. So much tulle. Sadly they didn’t come in small sizes for Bertie but definitely worth a look with any bigger girls.

And finally the quest ended. Laura found the exact skirt she required in H&M. She hadn’t thought to look in the baby section but there it was. Apparently it comes up quite big so she was able to go down a size. And for the bargain price of £6.

Is anyone else a tutu fan and any pretty examples we really should know about?
